My IBS “Cure” — Go Carnivore
For those struggling with IBS, one approach I’ve found helpful is starting with a carnivore diet—sticking to only unseasoned (salt and pepper only) meat, eggs and water until symptoms subside. This helps me eliminate potential irritants; gives my digestive system a break. It will actually seem like my IBS is cured, which feels amazing, but the diet is not sustainable. Once symptoms are manageable (often only a few days or less), I can gradually reintroduce foods one by one, testing different types and portion sizes to see how each affects me. Keeping a detailed food diary throughout this process is a good idea. This simple yet disciplined method might also help you identify specific food sensitivities and personalize your diet for longer-term relief.
